Dr. Dyer is a recognized world-leader in Reiki and integrative medicine research. She is a Harvard-trained scientist with Connor Whole Health University Hospitals, University of California Irvine, and serves as President of the Center for Reiki Research.

With a career dedicated to exploring the therapeutic potential of integrative and mind-body therapies, Dr. Dyer investigates how practices like Reiki, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and psychedelics can enhance physical health, emotional well-being, and human consciousness. Reiki is an evidence-based biofield therapy used in hospitals around the world for patient and staff health and well-being. Natalie primarily works with Usui Reiki and North American, European, and Tibetan shamanic practices that work together harmoniously. Scientific Contributions

As a Research Scientist with Connor Whole Health at University Hospitals and affiliations with the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute at the University of California Irvine, Dr. Dyer conducts clinical research on integrative medicine programs. Her studies evaluate their effectiveness in reducing pain, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and improving quality of life—particularly in hospital and cancer care settings.

She also studies altered states of consciousness and their implications for understanding reality and leads efforts to educate the public about the harmony between science and spirituality.
